I have to say, I am a huge advocate for helmets. Quite simply, they save lives. I am not an advocate for or against helmet laws. I do tend to resent any law that protects me from myself (though I'm beginning to reconsider). Helmet laws can be good for protecting riders from everyone else if not from themselves, which may or may not be a good thing, but I'll leave that up to opportunistic legislators. I live in Arizona, which has no helmet law, and I still wear one. Always have and always will, regardless of the law.
